Rescue

This story takes place in ancient Arabia (not sure what the exact time zone is called but you know)
In that time there is the normal social status, Kings down to Peasants, the slaves. Under slaves where Nobodies. Nobodies are odd beings that are not born, but created. They are created with only the simplest form of knowledge such as counting and speaking. There where two kinds of nobodies, ones created by god, happier ones created for good, and ones made by Satan, dark being created to spread their faith and serve their lord. While god's nobodies are looked down upon and often die or are killed, Satanist nobodies are treated worse. There are labeled as "evil".
Thief is a nobody made my Satan, created weaker then all the rest, made to serve a bit like an intern. His job is to steal for them, provide much of the money for the rest, and pretty much everything he is told because he knows he is not strong enough to oppose them. It is literally written in his genes to always go back to them.
Papaya is the other kind of nobody. The ones the people have labeled "better". His goal in life is to become a doctor, invent new types of medicines and help people.
On the way back from a job, the thief is stranded in the desert bleeding and hopeless. He sees a boy running towards him, his only thought is "great, now my corpse is going to get mugged." Instead, the boy wraps his injuries and treats him.
Later they begin to live together and the thief finally has something to look forward to when he goes home.
The others find out about this though, particularly one control freak named Blake. The others strive to make the thief's life 1000 times harder, the only way for them to stop abusing him is for the thief to kill the one he is in love with.
